Domain Registration Policy
1. Our Role as a Reseller
BY2L is not itself an ICANN-accredited domain registrar. We act as a reseller, processing domain registrations, renewals, and transfers through accredited registrar partners (currently Enom, LLC, and, for the .tj ccTLD, through the local registry nic.tj). Your domain registration is ultimately subject to the terms, policies, and procedures of the underlying registrar and the relevant domain registry, in addition to these terms.
2. Accuracy of WHOIS/Contact Information
As required by ICANN policy, you must provide accurate, current, and complete contact information (registrant, administrative, and technical contacts) when registering or renewing a domain. Providing false WHOIS information may result in suspension or cancellation of your domain registration by the registry or registrar, outside of our control.
3. Domain Renewal and Expiration
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before your domain's expiration date.
- It is ultimately your responsibility to ensure timely renewal. Domains not renewed before expiration may enter a "redemption grace period" (governed by the registry, typically with additional recovery fees) and may subsequently become available for registration by third parties.
- We are not liable for the loss of a domain name due to non-renewal, payment failure, or outdated contact information.
4. Domain Transfers
- Outbound transfers (to another registrar) require an unlocked domain status and a valid EPP/Auth code, which we will provide upon request, in accordance with ICANN transfer policy.
- Inbound transfers (from another registrar) require a valid EPP/Auth code from your current registrar.
5. Dispute Resolution
Domain name disputes (e.g., trademark conflicts) are handled in accordance with ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) or the applicable ccTLD registry's dispute policy, not by BY2L directly.
6. WHOIS Privacy
Where available for a given TLD, WHOIS privacy protection may be offered as an optional add-on service. Not all TLDs support WHOIS privacy due to registry-level restrictions.
